Welcome Archer Kenneth

Archer Kenneth Seubert arrived 2 1/2 weeks early a surprise to us all!!
On December 9th at 6:11pm, weighing 6lbs and 19 inches long he made his appearance just 4 hours
and 11 min after mommy arrived at the hospital.  His 3 aunts were in attendance....
Grandma was stuck at work taking care of other newborns.
He is such a delightful addition to our family, doesn't cry very much and is eating like a champ!!
Here he is stylin' in his Santa hat from his Great Aunt Sue!
Welcome Archer !!

Summer Excursions with Grandkids

Today was LEGO LAND....here is the Chicago Water Tower; Sears Tower, Holy Name Cathederal
A tiger and lizard

Checking out Stare Wars legos

Chicago again.  This time Navy Pier

Last week it was Old World Wisconsin where it's circa 1800'sThe kids learned how the laundry was done;  how the blacksmith made horse shoes; what you could buy at the general store; how to knead rye bread: collect eggs in the hen house and sweep the porch.  There was also a one room school house, lots of pigs and sheep; and a group of settlers cooking squirrel! (Yuck!)

30 Years at George Washington University Hospital

After 30 years of hard work and what I would like to think of  as sincere dedication to the honorable profession of nursing, I was recognized by my colleagues and hospital administrators at the Fairmont Washington D.C.   We had an outstanding dinner...so delicious it didn't even taste like chicken...... it was so good.

There were employee's being recognized of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years service.  I was one of 4 employes there with 30 years.  The women who has been there 40 years started working at GW right out of high school!!

As you see in the picture, I received a small plaque and a lovely bouquet of tulips.  This was the first time in over 20 years that GW had a special event outside the hospital to recognize years of service.  It was a very nice evening.

So here's to all those years and hopefully just a few more before I retire.  Maybe I'll make  it to  35 years of service!

Liam's day with Grandma and Grandpa

Today Liam spent the day with Gma and Gpa while Mommy had her last day at work (until the next job comes through).

Liam is having a great time helping Gpa with his spread sheets.  Other activities include eating, reading books, listening to cool classical music, getting diapers changed and yakking with Auntie Anya.  Oh yay, 2 little cat naps too.  It has been a great day so far!!!

SNOW BIRDS ON THE BEACH

After a day when it was in the upper 80's a very cooling wind came in from the north.  Bathings suits gave way to warmer garb.

Many Faces of Liam

These pics have been posted on facebook, but I wanted to get them on our "A Whole Puzzle?" Blog

He is definitely one of the cutest little guys around and has so many funny, happy faces.  Today he entertained his Seubert and Yoo Aunties as well as his Grandma S.  We all enjoyed watching him sleep, make faces and do those other things babies like to do!!

Such a happy, smiley boy!

Such a good sleeper and what a sweet little face!!!  We are all in love...can't get enough of him.

Welcome Liam

This post is a little delayed.....
Liam Emerson Seubert arrived safely at 9:17pm
January 30th after a relatively quick labor (for a first baby).
Both Grandmothers were blessed to be present for the occasion and with Momma and Poppa were able to witness his arrival!

He is undoubtedly one of the cutest babies and looks not surprisingly like both his parents.  He seems to be a calm, peaceful baby so far, except when he has his diaper changed (understandable).

Both parents seem to be taking the awesome challenge of parenthood in stride and have the Grandparents so proud and happy for them!

Grandpa was able to see Liam after the delivery and the next day as well.

We all look forward to the many happy times for the Seubert Family!!
