Double grilled stuffed potatoes...with salads: 1. tomato, cucumber and garlic and 2. grilled corn and black bean .....Yummmmm! Followed by the sunset over Geneva Lake....even though the sunset appears first on this blog installment....

Uncle Kevin's Booze Cruise

Two things the Porch People do well...cruisin' and boozin.' Uncle Kevin, Kate and Declan left the latter to the rest of us, but we all enjoyed the sunset and the tour of all of Uncle Kevin's favorite lake houses.

First Days of Vacation to the Midwest

Upon arrival to Chicago, we journeyed to view the spectacular private home gardens around Elmhurst hosted by the Elmhurst Garden Club of which Grandma Mary is a long time member!! The gardens were truly spectacular as you can see from the photos!! We were exhausted after the walk and had a pleasant evening at the McCoyd's sipping sangria in honor of Spain winning 1st place in the World Cup! Next day, July 12th on to Rockford to visit Aunt Maura where we had a pleasant afternoon yakking with Maura's 91-year-old neighbor in her garage!!

Dad Seubert's 60th Birthday Bash

A Happy Birthday was had by all....friends from near (Virginia) and far (Maryland) with the family joined in celebration to commemorate Werner's successful completion of 60 years in this earthly life. We are grateful to all for making this such a memorable event!!!

Camping in the Shenandoah!

Hey it's Lauren! Just wanted to share some pics of me and my friends Tyler and Theresa camping for two days in the Shenandoah mountains. The trip was a lot of fun and I would love to do it again because the weather was great and the nights are always cooler in the mountains! Got to love summers in Virginia!
