Grandpa Jim at rest at last

Grandpa Jim was at last laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in the Mathes Family plot  in his maternal ancestrial home of Spencer, Indiana today, Friday, September 30, 2011.   Following the internment of his creamains, the Civil War letters of his great-great-great grandfather, Silas Henry Harrison Mathes, to Harriet Ann Rogers, later to become Mrs. Mathes, were donated to the Lawrence County Museum of History and the E.L.Hutton Research Library in Bedford, Indiana - the home town of Harriet Ann Rogers.

Rest in Peace Jimmy - you were a good man and stepfather.
